Financial consolidation
Export and import consolidation data
Move consolidation data in and out when you need to.
What it does
The Manual Consolidation window exports the subsidiaries' journal entries for a date range and imports them into the consolidation company.
When you need it: An auditor receives the consolidation data as a file.

How it works
- In the consolidation company, choose Consolidation › Manual Consolidation. On the "Export" tab, set the "Posting Date" range and leave "Export Journal Entries" on All, or pick one branch code.
- Choose "Export": the journal entries go from the subsidiaries to the B1i server. "Status" shows the progress.
- On the "Import" tab, choose All or a branch code under "Import Journal Entries" and choose "Import" to bring the files into the consolidation company. "Status" again shows the progress.
- With several levels, run export and import in each consolidation company in turn, from the bottom up.
- The consolidation company's standard SAP Business One reports then show the group's figures.
Set it up
Batch size and the optional voucher and closing-entry transfer are set in the administration console under Preferences › Consolidation Configuration. The group's chart of accounts travels the same way, through export and import in "Chart of Account Distribution".
Since: Version 52 (July 2024): the "Ref.1", "Ref.2" and "Ref.3" line columns of journal entries are carried into the consolidation company. Version 54 (April 2025): the Monitor Consolidation report exports to Microsoft Excel.
Good to know
- Each export file is deleted once it is imported. "Delete" on the "Import" tab removes a file by hand: pick the branch code and file name.
- While a schedule is started, manual export and import are blocked.
- Journal entries whose debit and credit total zero are not taken across.
- Monitoring › Monitor Consolidation in the administration console lists the journal entries that were not imported.
