The problem
Many companies, many places to look
Set up one company at a time, a group landscape takes days. When a document does not arrive in the other company, someone must find out where it stopped. And a support ticket goes back and forth until the versions, patch levels and settings are known.
How it works
One console, one health check
The administration console sets up the whole landscape in one place: companies, templates, key mapping, licences and users. The message log shows each message between companies as done, failed or in process, and failed messages can be retried automatically. From version 51, the system health check tests the set-up in one run, and creates a support ticket with the results attached.

Companies are registered on the console's Landscape page with a branch code, a company template and a type ("Head Office", "Branch", "Consolidation" or "Template"). One press of "Deploy" sets up all of them and shows each task's result, and SLD categories keep several landscapes apart.
Some SAP Business One objects, such as freight, units, payment terms and item groups, carry internal keys that differ between companies. Import them, map them by hand, with AutoMap or with a Microsoft Excel template, and Intercompany maps new records itself from then on.
One machine runs the integration framework, and other SAP Business One servers send their events to it through the EventSender. Several DI proxy instances per company, joined as a group, carry more transactions.
From 2.0 patch level 26, companies that use SAP Business One's branches take part after a new deployment. The sender chooses the receiving branch on the document, and consolidation keeps the branch on each journal entry.
Wizards in SAP Business One lead each company through initialisation, set-up and consolidation set-up. In the console, Copy Initialization Setup and Copy Intercompany Setups apply the same settings to many companies in one run.
Monitoring › Message Log filters messages by time, sender, receiver, object and status, shows the error payload of a failure and retries it. Automatic retry runs daily or weekly, and Manage Logs deletes old success messages after the days you set.
Set up the mail connection in the console and tick "Email Alert Failure" for each feature in SAP Business One. The chosen user then gets an email with the failed XML message attached, available since version 47.
Six groups of tiles show versions, deployment, key mapping, queues, today's messages, schedules, consolidation, unposted documents and server resources. Each tile opens the matching log or set-up page, and the data is refreshed on a daily or weekly schedule.
Setup › System Status checks every Intercompany module and the integration framework's queues, memory and recent transactions, with a tick or cross for each. Results open module by module and download as XML, since version 51.
The SAP B1 user licence report compares the Intercompany licences of the landscape with the SAP Business One user licences across companies. Since version 57 it shows each server separately.
The Custom Language Tool in SAP Business One rewords the add-on's screens, and Language Customization in the console rewords reports and alert notifications, both from a Microsoft Excel template. A reset brings back the standard wording.
