Minority interests in the group's accounts

Adjust the consolidated statements for companies the group does not fully own.

What it does

Ownership shares are set per company; the consolidated statements reflect the minority interest.

When you need it: A subsidiary held 70 % shows a 30 % minority interest.

How it works

  1. In the administration console, open the landscape and, for each company, the "Company Details" window.
  2. In the "Consolidation Details" table, enter the "Consolidation Percentage": the share of the company the group holds, as a bare number. For a 70 % holding type 70, without the sign.
  3. In each run, that share of every account of the company is taken into the consolidation company, so the group's statements reflect the part the group owns.
  4. A company held by two parts of the group can report into two consolidation companies, each with its own share. Its shares together must not exceed 100.
  5. After deployment, every company can check the share under Administration › System Initialization › Intercompany › Consolidation Landscape: double-click the row and read "Consolidation %".

Set it up

Setup › Landscape in the administration console, then the (…) button beside the company in the "Company Registration" table. The percentage sits next to the "Consolidation Source" for each consolidation company listed. Changed details show an icon until the landscape is deployed again.

Good to know

  • The percentage applies to each account of the company as a whole; the guides do not describe any other minority-interest posting.
  • The overview presentation shows one company assigned 30 % to one parent and 70 % to another, by control interest.
  • According to the factsheet, reports at every level of the tree take the percentages into account.
