Group reports and control
Run one query in every company
Ask all company databases the same question, live.
What it does
Standard SAP Business One queries from the Query Generator and Query Wizard run across all companies; user rights decide who may.
When you need it: An ad-hoc report across the group, from live data.
How it works
- Write a query with the SAP Business One Query Generator or Query Wizard and save it. A standard query from the "System" category works too, once it is saved under a new name.
- Open Tools › Queries › Query Manager and select the query.
- Choose where it runs: "Local" runs it only in this company, the usual SAP Business One way; "ALL" runs it in every branch company; "Selection" opens a list of branch codes to tick.
- Choose "OK". Local opens the normal results window; the other two open the "Remote Query Execution" window.
- Choose "Refresh". The results arrive in blocks, one per company, each headed by its branch code and the time it was read.
Set it up
The three options appear only for users with "Can Use Remote Query Execution" selected in Administration › Setup › General › Users. When users are copied to other companies with the copy intercompany setup tool, this tick is one of the fields that travels with them.
Since: Version 55 (October 2025): the local company can be ticked under "Selection" together with the remote ones.
Good to know
- Field aliases in the query must not contain spaces or special characters.
- Like the other group reports, the answers are read live from each company at the moment you refresh.
- Results can be taken out through "Export to CSV" or "Copy to Clipboard".
