Administration and health check
The system health check
Test the whole set-up in one run, from version 51.
What it does
Checks licences, landscape, deployment, key mapping, accounts, messaging, consolidation and more, and the integration framework's queues, memory and recent transactions; green ticks and red crosses; export as XML or zip.
How it works
- In the console open Setup › System Status, choose the "SLD Category" with the browse button and press "Initiate System Health Check"; confirm with "Yes".
- On the "System Health Checks" screen press "Start". The tool gathers technical and functional information for each Intercompany module.
- Each module gets a status icon: a green tick, a blue tick or a red cross. Hover over the icon for the reason, or press "Display" to open that module's data in its own window, so you see exactly what would be shared.
- Press "Download for Support" to save the result as an XML file, or "Reset" to clear it and start again.
Set it up
The tool is meant for administrative users and runs from the console. On the Intercompany side it looks at the licence and version, the B1iF user, the landscape and its last deployment, SLD connections and scenario activation, key mapping (import and summary), global data authorisation and distribution, the account set-ups (branch accounts, default accounts, control accounts, account mapping), branch partners, the general settings and the rules for cancelling documents, messaging, B1i server details, exchange rates, the consolidation landscape, journal voucher replication and the rights to run remote queries. On the integration framework side it reports the system in general, the state of the queues, any IPO that is not active, transactions of the last few minutes, Xcellerator settings and memory use.
Since: Version 51 (February 2024): the system health check in the administration console.
Good to know
- The check reads and reports; it does not change any setting. Use the set-up pages to correct what it finds.
- Results can be exported as XML or zip to send with a support request.
- The older troubleshooting tool in the administrator's guide works only with integration framework 1.x.
- Version 52 corrected the status shown for a few steps.
