Licence reports and your own wording

See each server's licences, and change the wording of screens.

What it does

The SAP Business One user licence report shows licences per server; the custom language tool changes field names, messages and screen titles from a language file.

When you need it: A group with two servers checks its licences; a local team gets its own terms.

How it works

  1. In the console open Setup › SAP B1 User License Report, choose the "SLD Category" and press "Retrieve Information". "Export" saves the report as a CSV file for Microsoft Excel.
  2. The report sets the Intercompany licences activated in the landscape against the SAP Business One user licences assigned across all companies: professional, the limited CRM, financials and logistics users, and the standalone CRM service user. A difference helps find the cause of the licence mismatch message at deployment or user allocation.
  3. To change wording in SAP Business One, open Administration › Intercompany Tools › Custom Language Tool, choose a language and press "Prepare Template". Fill in the "Language Resource String" column of the Excel file, then "Validate" and "Upload", and restart SAP Business One.
  4. For reports and alert notifications, use Preferences › Language Customization in the console: download the template for the language, change the strings, import it, and read the result table.

Set it up

Change only the resource string column and keep the file name, as the guides ask. "Restore Default" in SAP Business One and "Reset to Default" in the console bring back the standard wording for a language. Each user's licence state shows in SAP Business One under Administration › Integration Hub › Feature Activation as Active, Expired or Non-Allocated, with "Refresh License Info" to fetch the latest.

Since: Version 48 (June 2023): the SAP Business One user licence report. Version 57 (September 2026): licence details per server when several SAP Business One servers take part.

Good to know

  • Only languages the product supports appear in the list. Strings for the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish localisations are supplied in English; download those and upload your own.
  • New or restored wording in SAP Business One appears only after SAP Business One is restarted.
  • In a group spread over several SAP Business One servers, the report shows the licences of each server separately.
